Alex Apparels is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all employees. Through the Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program (WESEP), we proudly showcase the progress of our ongoing training sessions aimed at empowering women in our factory.
WESEP is a comprehensive initiative funded by USAID and implemented by Pathfinder, the Ministry of International Cooperation, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the National Council for Women.
This program strives to uplift women in workplaces, homes, and communities by addressing critical topics such as violence against women, mental health, and the impact of childhood trauma, to help every woman realize her potential and become stronger in facing all challenges.
At Alex Apparels, we are deeply aligned with WESEP’s goals, and our training sessions represent a vital step in fostering a workplace culture built on respect, safety, and equality.
The training sessions for the women focus on:
Violence Against Women: Raising awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) and equipping participants with strategies to recognize and address it effectively.
Mental Health: Providing insights and support to help women maintain mental well-being, even in challenging environments.
Overcoming Childhood Trauma: Empowering women to confront and heal from past experiences, enabling them to focus on achieving their goals and aspirations.
These training sessions were conducted in a safe and nurturing environment, with a deliberate focus on fostering personal growth and resilience. By addressing these critical areas, we aspire to empower every woman in our factory to excel both professionally and personally.
