What is SCORE Program?

This transformative three-month program is designed to target one facility, aiming to enhance workplace conditions and increase productivity. It is accomplished through the Women's Economic and Social Empowerment Program, funded by USAID and implemented by Pathfinder. The initiative also includes advisory visits by the ICAN and International Labor Organization (ILO) teams and a two-day workshop.


The program empowers employees and management alike to collaborate effectively and achieve sustainable results.


Key Components of the SCORE Program

1.     Advisory Visits by Experts

Teams from ICAN and ILO visit the facility to evaluate current working conditions, identify challenges, and understand its unique needs.


2.     Two-Day Workshop

The program includes an interactive workshop that focuses on:

  • Workplace Cooperation: Strategies to enhance communication and teamwork between management and employees.

  • 5S Methodology: A proven system for workplace organization, emphasizing Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.

  • Lean Manufacturing: Techniques to minimize waste while maximizing efficiency.

  • Continuous Improvement: Encouraging employees to contribute ideas for ongoing enhancements.


3.     Enterprise Improvement Plans (EIPs)

During the workshop, a selected team develops Enterprise Improvement Plans (EIPs) to address the facility's most pressing areas of improvement. These plans act as actionable roadmaps for driving meaningful change.


4.     Follow-Up Visits Every Two Weeks

Regular follow-up visits are conducted every two weeks to monitor progress, address challenges, and provide continued support. These visits ensure the effective implementation of EIPs and maintain momentum toward achieving program objectives.


The SCORE program is more than just training, it is a catalyst for transformation. By addressing productivity and working conditions simultaneously, it generates a ripple effect that positively impacts both the workforce and the organization.
